Dylan Wruck Sets Franchise Record

~

A four point night has catapulted Dylan Wruck to the top of the heap as he has broken the franchise record for points in a single season with 64. He may be small in stature but Wruck has been a giant for the Oil Kings this season. While the team dropped a hard fought 6-4 to the Brandon Wheat Kings on Saturday, the Saskatoon product added four assists to run his February point total to 11 in just 7 games.

The old mark was 62 points held by both Jeff Lee and Brendan Dowd. Realistically, Michael St. Croix and Jordan Hickmott should also be able to surpass the previous record as they have 55 and 53 points respectively with still 15 games left to play.

T.J. Foster scored a hat trick and the Oil Kings closed a 3-goal gap late in the third period before giving up an empty netter to salt the win away for the Wheaties. Edmonton is in action on Sunday in Swift Current against the now 9th place Broncos.
