Tory Signs Extension With Tri-City

~

The Tri-City Americans have announced a 4-year extension for General Manager Bob Tory. Tory has been at the helm of the Americans for the last decade and the team has been successful and competitive under his guidance.

From the official team release:
"In his nine seasons as Tri-City’s General Manager, he has overseen a club that has gone 333-253-20-11 with 31 ties (0.562 win%), including three U.S. Division Championships, one Western Conference Championship and one Scotty Munro Championship. The longest-tenured GM in Americans history, Tory has built, developed and traded his way into molding Tri-City into one of the most competitive, exciting young teams in the Western Hockey League."
He is certainly one of the most respected GMs in the league for getting the job done without always having a team packed with big name players. That said, he has hand a hand in the development of current NHL players and top prospects like Carey Price, Chet Pickard and Brett Festerling with more on the way.

The Americans are one of the teams considered to be strong contenders again this year.
