Patrick Roy and our tribute to the Canadian Military

Tuesday night on TPS we spoke with Hall Of Fame goaltender and current head coach of the Quebec Remparts Patrick Roy. We also welcomed Captain Paul Whalen to the program. Captain Whalen is a member of the Royal Military College hockey team, and he's also a member of an even better team, the Air Force.

Captain Whalen told us how he ended up enrolling in the Canadian Military, and also what his hockey team is like. We also asked Captain Whalen what Remembrance Day means to him.

From our tribute to the Canadian Military, we moved on to a Stanley Cup and Memorial Cup champion. Patrick Roy has his Quebec Remparts 3rd in the entire QMJHL thanks to some great goaltending from Peter Delmas.

Roy answered some emails about the NHL returning to Quebec, his playing time vs. the Oilers and how Ryan Bourque (son of Ray) ended up a Rempart instead of going the NCAA route.

"When the draft came, a couple of years ago I asked Ray if he had any objections for me to draft Ryan, and he no it might be a good option for him and he'd be interested in looking at it."
Roy also told us why he's comfortable coaching Junior hockey now and not in the NHL where he could have had a job this summer with Colorado. It's quite the interesting answer.
