3 Sent Down, 2 more To Follow

Today the Oilers did what most were expecting them to. Sending Theo Peckham, Taylor Chorney and Gilbert Brule to Springfield. Rob Schremp is currently at his grandfather's funeral and will be given more bad news following his grieving period. That leaves just Mathieu Roy, who will be put on waivers, and should clear. J.F. Jacques is still on the training camp roster, but is injured and won't take up a roster spot.

So who are the first call ups? On the blueline I think it's a toss up between Roy and Peckham. Up front, for me it's Brule, Schremp, and maybe Ryan Potulny.

Tonight we'll find out what Springfield Head Coach Jeff Truitt thinks of his potential line up. We'll also speak to Marty Abrams, head coach of Team Canada East for the World Junior A Challenge. Golden Bears bench boss Eric Thurston will join us after the Bears went 0-3 in Colorado over the weekend, and Vancouver Giants forward and 2009 draft prospect preform er of the week Evander Kane rounds out the guest list.

As always, bad ass trivia, and your calls and emails, 7-9 PM mountain time. 780-426-8326, 1-800-243-1945, open line time is the first 20 minutes of the show. Will the Oilers be able to sneak Roy onto the IR instead and put off the waiver issue for a few weeks?
